Vino Cotto, dessert wine
The love and passion for Vino Cotto is lost in the mists of time.
A faint memory emerges, grandfather Piacentino preparing oak wood for seasoning at the beginning of summer.
It was supposed to fuel the fires that under the copper cauldrons would slowly cook the must , obtained from the pressing of Montepulciano grapes personally selected by grandfather .
From the 'aging and subsequent maturation in wooden barrels, the cooked must would give birth after a few years to VINO COTTO.
This lovely wine was enjoyed on great family occasions.
It could be defined in words not our own : The most interesting mosaic that the centuries-old collaboration between nature and man has been able to create.
